Time spent on 6 basketball movements

It is seen that 76% of playtime is spent in either standing/taking short steps (forward, backward, sideward) or, shuffle. Running and jogging accounts for only 21% of playtime. They also race for about 8% of the playtime. It is only 2% of the playtime they spent jumping! For better passing, you require higher jumping; for blocking shots accurately, you need a higher jump; for retrieving the ball on rebound, you need higher jump. If you start jumping for all these activities, certainly the percentage of playtime spent on jumping will be more than the mere 2%. If your vertical leap is really good, you are likely to jump higher.
